StoreySG Privacy Policy
StoreySG is a browser-based floor-plan and interior design app (storeysg.com and the editor at app.storeysg.com). This policy explains what personal data we handle, how we use it — including how we use uploaded floor plans and AI-generated designs to improve and train our models — and the choices and rights you have. It is written to meet Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).
1. Who we are
StoreySG is operated by Leonard Chow, an independent software developer based in Singapore ("StoreySG", "we", "us"). For any privacy question or request, contact [email protected]. If StoreySG is later incorporated as a company, we will update this section with the entity name, UEN and registered address.
2. Scope
This policy covers the StoreySG website (storeysg.com) and the web editor (app.storeysg.com). It does not cover third-party sites we link to, or services you connect on your own.
3. What data we handle
3.1 Account & sign-in
You can use the editor as a guest. When you sign in with Google, Google shares your email address (and basic profile) with us through the standard OAuth flow. We use your email to identify your account, your saved designs, and your credit balance. We do not receive your Google password.
3.2 Your designs (saved to the cloud)
The floor plans, rooms, furniture placement and scenes you create are saved to our cloud storage (Cloudflare) under your account, so you can open them from any device and collaborate. Your current work is also cached in your browser (local storage) for the session and limited offline editing. As a guest, your work is kept only in your browser and is not saved to our cloud.
3.3 Images you upload
If you upload a floor-plan image or photo to trace or furnish, we process and store it to provide the feature and (see section 6) to improve our models.
3.4 Payments
Credit purchases are processed by Stripe. Stripe handles your card details; we do not see or store your full card number. We receive confirmation of a completed payment to add credits to your account.
3.5 Support
If you email us, we receive your email address and message, used only to respond to your enquiry.
4. How we use data
- To provide the editor and save/sync your designs across your devices.
- To run the optional AI features when you ask for them (section 5).
- To process credit purchases and maintain your balance.
- To keep backups for durability, so your work and balance are not lost.
- To develop, evaluate and improve StoreySG's features and models (section 6).
- To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
5. Optional AI features
The AI render and AI design-chat are optional and only run when you use them. When you do, the relevant room image and/or scene and your text prompt are sent to AI providers to produce the result — currently Google (Gemini) for image rendering, and the configured chat model provider for design-chat. We send only what the request needs. These features cost credits; basic editing and export are free and never send your designs to an AI provider.
6. Using your content to improve & train StoreySG
We retain floor-plan images you upload and the designs and renders the AI generates, and we may use them to develop, evaluate and train StoreySG's own models and features. We aim to use this content in a way that does not identify you, and we do not publish your individual designs. This helps StoreySG get better at understanding floor plans and producing useful designs.
If you do not want your content used this way, or you want it deleted, email [email protected] and we will honour your request.
7. Disclosure to service providers
We share data only with the service providers needed to run StoreySG, under their terms: Cloudflare (hosting, storage and backups), Google (sign-in and the Gemini AI feature), Stripe (payments), and the configured AI chat provider. We do not sell your personal data and do not use it for third-party advertising or cross-site tracking.
8. Transfer outside Singapore
Our providers operate globally, so your data may be processed on servers outside Singapore. Where this happens we rely on those providers' contractual and technical safeguards to provide a standard of protection comparable to the PDPA.
9. Retention and deletion
We keep your designs and account data until you delete them or ask us to close your account, plus a short period in rotating backups. Share-link snapshots expire automatically. Payment records are kept as needed for accounting. To delete your data, email [email protected].
10. Protection and security
Traffic is served over HTTPS. Data stored with our providers is encrypted at rest by them, and sensitive configuration secrets are encrypted by us. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.
11. Your rights
Under the PDPA you may request access to, and correction of, the personal data we hold about you, and you may withdraw consent for future processing. Email [email protected] and we will respond within a reasonable time. Withdrawing consent for essential processing may mean we can no longer provide parts of the service.
12. Children
StoreySG is intended for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service evolves. We will change the effective date above and, for material changes, give notice in the app.
