StoreySG Privacy Policy

StoreySG is a 3D interior and room design app for iPhone, iPad, and Apple Silicon Mac. This policy explains what personal data the app does and does not handle, how it is used, and the choices and rights you have. It is written to meet Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA) and to support Apple App Store requirements.

1. Who we are

StoreySG ("StoreySG", "we", "us", or "our") is developed and operated by Leonard Chow, an individual developer based in Singapore. StoreySG is distributed through the Apple App Store under the bundle identifier com.storeysg.app. Our website is storeysg.com. 2. Scope of this policy

This policy covers personal data handled in connection with the StoreySG mobile app on iPhone, iPad, and Apple Silicon Mac (the app is "Designed for iPad" on Mac). "Personal data" has the meaning given in the PDPA: data about an individual who can be identified from that data, or from that data and other information we have or are likely to have access to.

3. What data we handle and what we don't

3.1 Stored on your device, not collected by us

• Design data — the rooms, floor plans, furniture placement, and saved scenes you create. This is stored locally on your device. By default it is not uploaded to us and is not collected by us.
• Room-scan input — if you scan a room, the app uses your device camera and LiDAR sensor through Apple's RoomPlan framework to generate wall geometry. The captured imagery and depth data are processed on your device to produce that geometry. StoreySG does not upload or store this captured imagery or depth data.

3.2 Data we do not collect or use

• No analytics, advertising, or tracking. The app contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
• No advertising identifier. The app does not use the Apple advertising identifier (IDFA) and does not track you across other apps or websites.
• No account required. You can use the core design features without creating an account or signing in.

3.3 Data handled only when you choose to share it

• AI assistant input — sent only when you actively use the optional AI design assistant. See section 5.
• Support email — if you email us for support, we receive your email address and the contents of your message. See section 3.3 below and section 4.

If you contact support by email, your email address and message are used only to respond to and resolve your enquiry.

4. Purposes — how data is used

We use data only for the following purposes:

• To provide the app's features — creating, editing, and saving your designs on your device, and generating wall geometry from a room scan on your device.
• To carry out an AI edit you request — when you use the AI design assistant, to generate the specific edit you asked for (section 5).
• To respond to you — when you email support, to answer your enquiry and provide assistance.

We do not use any of this data for advertising or profiling, and we do not sell personal data.

5. Optional AI design assistant

StoreySG includes an optional AI design assistant. It is used only when you actively choose to use it. When (and only when) you do:

• the current scene description and your typed instruction are sent to an AI service, solely to generate the edit you requested; and
• this data is sent either to StoreySG's AI service, or — if you supply your own AI provider API key — directly to that third-party AI provider you have chosen.

StoreySG does not use this data for advertising and does not sell it. If you do not use the AI assistant, none of this data is sent anywhere.

6. Consent and withdrawal

Because design data and room scans are handled on your device, no consent to collection by us is needed for the core features. For the situations where data does leave your device, we rely on your consent, which you give by your own action:

• Camera and LiDAR — the app requests your permission before accessing the camera/LiDAR for room scanning. You can grant or deny this in the iOS/iPadOS/macOS system settings at any time, and the app works without scanning.
• AI assistant — you consent to sending the scene description and your instruction each time you choose to use the assistant. You can withdraw consent simply by not using it.
• Support email — you consent by choosing to email us; you may ask us to stop using and to delete your message at any time.

You may withdraw consent for any of these at any time. Withdrawal does not affect anything already done before withdrawal, and some features may not work without the relevant permission (for example, room scanning needs camera/LiDAR access).

7. Disclosure to third parties

We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for advertising. The only third party that may receive data is the AI provider used by the AI design assistant, and only when you actively use that feature (section 5). Where you use your own API key, that disclosure is made by you, directly to the provider you selected. We may also disclose data where required by law, but given how the app works we hold very little personal data to disclose.

8. Transfer of data outside Singapore

StoreySG keeps your design data and room scans on your device, so they are not transferred overseas by us. The only circumstance in which data may be processed outside Singapore is the optional AI design assistant: when you use it, the scene description and your instruction may be processed on servers located outside Singapore, depending on the AI service or provider involved. Where StoreySG's own AI service is used, we take reasonable steps to ensure the data receives a standard of protection comparable to the PDPA. Where you use your own AI provider key, the transfer is to the provider you chose, and that provider's terms and protections apply.

9. Retention and deletion

• Design data and scans — stored on your device and kept until you delete them. You remain in control: delete a scene or project in the app, or delete the app, to remove this data from your device. We do not hold a copy.
• AI assistant input — sent only to generate the edit you requested. Where our own AI service is used, we do not retain it beyond what is needed to fulfil that request. Where your own provider is used, retention is governed by that provider.
• Support email — kept only as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any follow-up, then deleted, unless we are required to keep it by law.

10. Accuracy

Because you create and control your design data on your device, you can keep it accurate and up to date directly in the app. For any personal data you have sent us (for example by email), you may ask us to correct it (section 12).

11. Protection and security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal data:

• Design data and scans stay on your device, protected by your device's own security (passcode, Face ID / Touch ID, and the operating system's app sandbox and storage protections).
• When the AI assistant sends data, it is sent over an encrypted connection.
• We minimise what we handle: the app collects no analytics and requires no account, so there is very little personal data to secure or to lose.

No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect your data using measures appropriate to its sensitivity and how it is handled.

12. Your rights: access and correction

Under the PDPA you have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you and information about how it has been used or disclosed, and to request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data. In practice, most of your data (designs and scans) is on your device and directly accessible to you. For any personal data we hold (such as a support email), contact us at [email protected] and we will respond within the timeframe required by the PDPA. We may need to verify your identity, and certain limited exceptions under the PDPA may apply.

13. Children

StoreySG is rated 4+ but is a general-purpose design tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data (for example, by emailing us), please contact us and we will delete it.

14. Links to other services

The app or this site may link to other websites or services (for example, an AI provider you choose to use, or Apple's App Store). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third-party services. Please review their own privacy policies.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes to the app or to legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and post the revised policy here. Your continued use of the app after an update means you accept the updated policy.
